The Numeh Group obtains a Nuclis project to study plant-based compounds and their effect on cognition
The Numeh Group has obtained a new Nuclis project in collaboration with the company Tricopharming, focused on analyzing the effects of various plant-derived compounds on cognitive performance and brain health, in the context of pet nutrition.
The aim of the project is to identify and characterize bioactive molecules derived from plants with the potential to improve cognitive performance and brain health in companion animals. In the medium term, the results could also have relevant implications for human cognitive health, opening new research opportunities in the fields of nutraceuticals and functional nutrition.
The project is supported by the Nuclis program, which promotes R&D collaboration between companies and research institutions. Through this partnership, both entities will combine their expertise in nutrition, neuroscience, and pharmacology to advance knowledge of the mechanisms linking diet and cognitive function.
The project strengthens both organizations' commitment to scientific innovation, sustainability, and the improvement of animal welfare, contributing to the development of healthier, evidence-based nutritional solutions.
