Two members of TecnATox participate in the international science dissemination competition Pint of Science in Reus and Tarragona
On May 19th, 20th, and 21st, the eighth edition of the festival was held, with events taking place at Cafè Teatre and l'As de Copes in Reus, as well as Ol'Dirty Burgers and Sala Zero in Tarragona. Francisco Algaba, a researcher at Tecnatox, participated as the coordinator of the international science outreach festival Pint of Science in both cities.
The festival featured the participation of 43 researchers from the region and attracted more than 600 attendees. Pint of Science offers a unique opportunity to connect society with the scientific community, which strives to bring research closer to the general public in an engaging, accessible, and informative way.
In addition, predoctoral researcher Nil Novau, from the Nutrition and Metabolic Health Research Group (NuMeH), gave a science outreach talk on Monday, May 19th, at the Cafè Teatre in Reus. In his presentation, adapted for all audiences, he spoke about his research on the relationship between gut microbiota and the development of Alzheimer's disease.
