TecnATox organized a conference to discuss the sustainability of the increasingly threatened Tarragona coastline
Yesterday, Museu del Port hosted a workshop on coastal sustainability, organized by TecnATox (URV) and the Catalan Society of Biology. The event brought together around fifty participants from diverse research-fields, business, institutions, and social movements-to discuss the degradation of the Tarragona coastline. According to researcher Jaume Folch, recent studies show serious impacts on natural spaces and coastal economic activity. The workshop addressed topics such as beach erosion, biodiversity loss, the presence of microplastics, the effects of climate change, and the impact of storms.
